WHAT'S HAPPENING????????

All,

We've received many emails and concerns about registering teams with the State, the brackets and schedules. All PDL clubs that are grandfathered in to the RCL are not at this time required to register their teams. The RCS is currently finalizing this process and will post a HOW, WHEN and WHERE on the PDL and State Websites along with an email that will be sent out late this week to all club registrars, DOC's and Club Presidents.

There will also be a draft bracket distributed/emailed to all Club DOC’s for age group U-13 through U17 based on standard promotion and relegation with a follow up meeting to complete the U10 through U12 age groups and any other issues early next week.

It is imperative that the club registrar and DOC (and all officers) register as a user on the PDL Website currently to ensure they receive these emails and notices during the transition of the PDL to the RCL.

The Player Development League (PDL) provides a structured development program for Youth Soccer Players in the Pacific Northwest, U.S.A. We serve many Associations, Clubs, and Teams throughout our service area.
Our Mission
The PDL seeks to play "like vs. like" teams in competitive leagues among clubs that consistently demonstrate the ability to develop Championship Cup caliber teams, ODP players, and a commitment to appropriate developmental philosophies for youth. Utilizing shorter league seasons and fewer summer tournaments, quality of instruction is emphasized over quantity. As clubs within WSYSA focus on the developmental models being promoted within the PDL, more clubs will meet the criteria and be capable of joining the PDL.
How We're Organized
The Player Development League (PDL) is managed by the Player Development League Committee (PDLC). The PDLC includes members from the Coaching Directors Committee, nominated and voted into the PDLC, and from the WSYSA District Commissioners, to oversee and operate this recognized WSYSA Inter-District-League (IDL). The Coaching Directors Committee provides initial guidance and requests for adjustments to the developmental model as determined by a simple majority within the CD Committee.
